Protein Does a Body Good - 12g of protein per roll!
Most people know that eating protein is key to helping you feel full and loosing weight.
But, how much protein? Well, the easiest calculation is to go by your weight so if you weight 150lbs then you should be eating 150grams of protein. Easy right?
So what foods are high in protein? High protein foods include meat, fish, cheese, tofu, beans, lentils, yogurt, nuts and seeds. By eating protein you lose weight, gain muscle and boost energy because the protein helps you build and repair muscle.
Here are a few high protein snacks that we try to eat regularly; Greek yogurt, cottage cheese, Swiss cheese, eggs and milk. Then of course there’s seafood and meats like chicken, beef and pork.
The key is to have protein with every snack and meal. If you combine that with a slow digesting carb like brown rice, quinoa, or sweet potato then you will stay feeling full and avoid that "sugar rush" and will be less likely go for that donut or muffin. Try to follow an 80/20 rule. Eat well about 80% of the time.
So if you crave bread make an effort to eat a healthier version. Eat bread that at least has some benefit.
